A shocking murder in Jamnagar&rsquo;s Shankar Tekri area has revealed a tragic family conflict where a man was fatally stabbed by his cousin. According to initial police findings, the attack stemmed from an eight-month-old dispute involving the accused&rsquo;s wife, who had reportedly left home with the victim.
The incident occurred near Digvijay Plot, Street No. 54, where Jitendra alias Jaylor Jagdishbhai Chavda was attacked while riding his Activa scooter. His cousin, Dilip Rameshbhai Chavda, allegedly stopped him on the road and stabbed him multiple times in a sudden burst of rage. Jitendra collapsed at the spot and died due to severe injuries. Residents gathered in large numbers as news of the attack spread.
Police teams from City C Division quickly reached the scene, cordoned off the area and sent the body for postmortem. During the investigation, officers learned that Jitendra had taken Dilip&rsquo;s wife away around eight months earlier and had allowed her to stay at his home. The accused had been nursing deep resentment since then and allegedly attacked Jitendra to settle the score.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim&rsquo;s father, Jagdishbhai Chavda, police registered a murder case against Dilip Rameshbhai Chavda and arrested him soon after. Officers are interrogating the accused and checking whether anyone else was involved in planning or supporting the crime.
