In preparation for the upcoming Lokrakshak (LRD) cadre written examination on June 15, the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has announced a dedicated transport plan aimed at easing travel for examinees across the state.
The examination, organised by the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board, will be held between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm at several designated locations in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Anand, and Bhavnagar. Approximately 2.48 lakh candidates from various districts are expected to take part in the test.
To manage the anticipated surge in travel demand, GSRTC will deploy additional buses on both June 14-15. These services are planned to connect candidates from their respective home depots to depots nearest to their exam centres.
Candidates will be able to secure their travel in advance through both online reservations and counter bookings.&nbsp;
Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi posted on X, &ldquo;The Corporation&rsquo;s official portal,<a href="http://gsrtc.in/"> http://gsrtc.in</a>, is available for digital bookings, while physical tickets can also be purchased at local depots. To support examinees with travel-related queries, GSRTC has made its helpline number&mdash;1800 233 666666&mdash;available round the clock.&rdquo;
The Corporation has emphasised that these special arrangements are designed to ensure smooth and timely access to examination centres for all registered candidates.
