A shocking triple murder has rocked Bhavnagar, where the bodies of a forest officer&rsquo;s wife and two children were recovered from a pit near the Forest Colony. The deceased, identified as Naynaben Rabari and her children, 13-year-old Pritha and 9-year-old Bhavya, had been missing for ten days. They were last seen leaving Bhavnagar to return to Surat after a vacation but never arrived. Their disappearance was reported to the police, triggering a thorough investigation.
According to sources, the family lived in Surat, where Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Shailesh Khambhla is posted. The victims had traveled to Bhavnagar to visit him during their holiday. On November 7, Khambhla filed a missing report with Bhavnagar&rsquo;s Bharatnagar police station, stating that his wife and children had disappeared on November 5. The family had also circulated their photos on social media, appealing for help.
The breakthrough came when villagers noticed a foul smell near the Forest Colony area, prompting police to excavate the site. With the support of forensic experts and a dog squad, officers discovered three bodies buried in a pit. The bodies, in a decomposed state, were identified by the family. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of death and the involvement of any suspects.
Police suspect the murders could have been committed by someone close to the family. Initial findings suggest that Naynaben left her mobile phone at home before disappearing, raising suspicions of premeditated foul play. Authorities believe a family member or acquaintance may be involved. Forensic and crime teams have collected evidence, and police are confident that the case will be solved soon.
