India has strongly dismissed allegations by the Pakistan Army, which claimed New Delhi was behind the deadly suicide bombing in North Waziristan that killed 13 Pakistani soldiers on Saturday.
&ldquo;We have seen an official statement by the Pakistan Army seeking to blame India for the attack in Waziristan on 28 June. We reject this statement with the contempt it deserves,&rdquo; Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a statement posted on X.
Pakistan&rsquo;s military has accused India of orchestrating the attack, but provided no supporting evidence.
According to officials, a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's North Waziristan district. The blast killed 13 soldiers, while 10 army personnel and 19 civilians were injured, a local government official told media on condition of anonymity.
The banned militant outfit Fitna-al-Khawarij has been blamed for the attack by Pakistan&rsquo;s military, state-run media reported.
The bombing comes days after two soldiers were killed and 11 suspected terrorists were eliminated in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan. Reports suggest that 15 soldiers and 10 civilians, including children, were wounded in the latest bombing. However, the Pakistan Army&rsquo;s official statement confirmed 13 soldiers dead and three civilians injured, including two children and a woman.&nbsp;
The Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, a known faction of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to Pakistani media reports, the attack occurred just days after two soldiers were killed and 11 militants were neutralised during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan.
The incident is being described as the deadliest attack in North Waziristan in recent months, further highlighting the worsening security situation in the region.
Last month, a car bomb detonated in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah, located along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan in Balochistan province. The blast claimed at least four lives and left over 20 others injured, including eight in critical condition.
The explosion took place in the Jabbar commercial market, situated along the Quetta-Chaman National Highway in Gulistan town, close to a fort belonging to Pakistan's Frontier Corps (FC).&nbsp;
