Two young nurses from Kerala are being hailed for their heroic act that saved a passenger&rsquo;s life aboard an Air Arabia flight. The incident occurred on October 13, shortly after the flight took off from Kochi en route to Abu Dhabi.
The nurses, identified as 26-year-old Abhijith Jees from Wayanad and 29-year-old Ajeesh Nelson from Chengannur, were travelling to join Response Plus Medical (RPM) as Registered Nurses. Around 20 minutes into the flight, a 34-year-old man from Thrissur collapsed due to cardiac arrest.
Reacting swiftly, Abhijith performed CPR and alerted the cabin crew, while Ajeesh assisted in reviving the passenger. Their coordinated efforts, along with support from a doctor on board who administered IV fluids, stabilised the passenger before the plane landed safely in Abu Dhabi.
After landing, the airport medical team took over, and the passenger was declared stable. The nurses quietly proceeded to their new workplace, unaware that their quick action would soon make headlines.
Response Plus Medical later honoured the duo for their timely intervention, calling their actions a testament to professional dedication and the true spirit of healthcare.
Their life-saving response has drawn praise across social media, serving as an inspiring reminder of how courage and skill can make the difference even in mid-air emergencies.
