<h3>Necessary documents</h3>
&mdash; Candidates should remember to carry their&nbsp;<a class="" href="https://indianexpress.com/article/education/jee-main-2024-session-2-admit-card-released-link-jeemain-nta-ac-in-hall-ticket-9220312/">JEE Main admit card</a>, along with self-declaration downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
&mdash; Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet.
&mdash; Identification proof such as&nbsp;<a class="keywordtourl" href="https://indianexpress.com/about/aadhaar-card/" rel="noamphtml">Aadhaar card</a> or PAN Card.
&mdash; Students can also carry their city slip with them, however, it is not necessary.
<h3>Things allowed in the exam hall</h3>
&mdash; Students can carry a transparent ballpoint pen.
&mdash; Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), if required.
&mdash; A transparent water bottle.
&mdash; Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/<a class="keywordtourl" href="https://indianexpress.com/about/apple/" rel="noamphtml">apple</a>/orange), in case the candidate is diabetic.
Candidates appearing for the JEE Main should note that they cannot carry instruments, geometry or pencil box, handbag, purse, any paper/ stationery/ textual material (printed or written material), eatables and water (loose or packed), mobile phone/ earphone/ microphone/ pager, calculator, Docupen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices to the examination centre.
The exam will be conducted in two shifts, the first shift will held from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift will be conducted between 3 pm and 6 pm. Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination centre at 7:30 am for the morning shift and at 2 pm for the evening shift.
After that JEE Main 2024 instructions are given by the invigilator, the candidates can log in to read instructions at 8:50 am for the first shift and at 2:50 pm for the second shift.
