In a crackdown on repeat offenders, the South West District Police arrested a 31-year-old externee, Manish, for violating an active externment order in the Sagarpur area.
Manish, a resident of Brahmpuri, Pankha Road, had been barred from entering certain South West Delhi areas for one year, following an externment order issued by the Additional DCP-I on August 27, 2024. However, he was found in violation of the directive on June 12.
Acting on a tip-off, a Special Staff team led by Inspector Vijay Baliyan and guided by ACP (Operations) Vijay Kumar, arrested Manish from Sagarpur. Officials confirmed he had breached the externment terms, prompting legal action under Section 53/116 of the Delhi Police Act.
A habitual offender, Manish has four previous cases registered under the Gambling Act at PS Sagarpur and PS Tilak Nagar.
Post-arrest, he was produced before the court and further action has been initiated by the externment monitoring cell.
DCP South West District Amit Goel (IPS) said, &ldquo;This arrest reinforces our zero-tolerance approach towards habitual lawbreakers and ensures strict enforcement of externment laws to maintain law and order.&rdquo;
