Search and rescue operations are in full swing in Himachal Pradesh&rsquo;s Bilaspur district after a private bus was buried under debris from a massive landslide in the Balughat area of Jhanduta sub-division on Tuesday evening.
Officials confirmed that at least 15 people, including the bus driver and conductor, lost their lives, while two children &mdash; a five-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy &mdash; sustained injuries. 
Both have been admitted to AIIMS Bilaspur and are said to be in stable condition.
The ill-fated bus, carrying between 25 and 30 passengers, was en route from Marotan to Ghumarwin when a section of the hillside suddenly gave way around 6:30 pm, completely crushing the vehicle beneath the debris.
Continuous rainfall since Monday has hindered rescue operations, as teams from the SDRF, local police, and district administration continue to work through heavy rain and unstable slopes.
Excavators and JCBs have been deployed to remove the debris, while search teams comb the site for any remaining survivors. 
&ldquo;The total number of passengers is still being verified,&rdquo; said Jhanduta SDM Arshiya Sharma.
