Maddock Films&rsquo; latest horror comedy Thamma continues its strong performance at the box office, showing steady growth during its second week. After a festive boost from the Chhath holiday, the film maintained momentum across India and overseas markets.
The Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer recorded a 28% jump in collections on Tuesday, earning ₹5.50 crore domestically compared to ₹4.25 crore on Monday. This takes its 8-day total to ₹101.10 crore net (₹121.25 crore gross) in India. With this milestone, Thamma has officially entered the ₹100-crore club, becoming the fourth Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) film to do so.
Internationally, the film has grossed over $2 million, adding around $250,000 daily on weekdays. This brings Thamma&rsquo;s worldwide collection to ₹140 crore after just eight days of release.
The film has now surpassed Munjya&rsquo;s ₹130 crore lifetime collection, making it the third-highest grosser in the MHCU, behind only Stree (₹182 crore) and Stree 2 (₹857 crore).
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and a cameo by Varun Dhawan, who reprises his role from Bhediya and Stree 2. With its blend of humour, horror, and strong performances, Thamma continues the MHCU&rsquo;s winning streak while paving the way for upcoming films like Bhediya 2 and Shakti Shalini.
