Aanand L Rai&rsquo;s romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein has delivered an impressive start at the worldwide box office. Released in Hindi and Tamil on November 28, the film opened to mixed reviews but has shown strong weekend momentum, especially in the Hindi market.
In its first weekend, the Hindi version alone crossed ₹50 crore in India, marking a solid opening for the Dhanush and Kriti Sanon-starrer. The makers announced that the film collected ₹50.95 crore net from Hindi audiences during the first three days. The film has clearly resonated more with the Hindi-speaking belt, outperforming the Tamil version both in domestic and global markets.
Tere Ishk Mein began its global run with a ₹22 crore opening on Friday, growing to ₹44.25 crore by Saturday. By the end of the weekend, the film recorded ₹52 crore net in India, with ₹49.75 crore coming from the Hindi version and around ₹2.25 crore from Tamil. Overseas markets contributed an additional ₹6 crore, pushing the worldwide total to ₹68 crore.
With Monday expected to bring a drop in footfall, industry watchers are now keen to see how soon the film inches toward the ₹100 crore mark.
