Aanand L Rai&rsquo;s romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein has achieved a major box office milestone by crossing ₹100 crore in worldwide collections within six days of its release. The film stars Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in lead roles and continues to draw audiences despite an expected midweek dip.
Since its release last Friday, the film has shown steady momentum at the domestic box office. It has earned close to ₹78 crore in net collections in India, translating to over ₹92 crore in gross domestic revenue. Overseas markets have added more than ₹8 crore to the total, taking the global tally past the ₹100 crore mark in under a week.
Although collections in India witnessed a decline of around one-third on Wednesday, the overall performance remained strong enough to push the film into the coveted ₹100 crore club. The opening day figures were impressive, with the film earning around ₹16 crore domestically and over ₹22 crore worldwide. The Hindi version has outperformed the Tamil release so far.
In terms of career milestones, Tere Ishk Mein is steadily closing in on the lifetime totals of several notable romantic films. It remains well behind the all-time highest-grossing romantic drama, but its current pace suggests a healthy theatrical run in the coming days.
The film marks the third collaboration between director Aanand L Rai and actor Dhanush, following Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re. Given the emotional intensity and themes explored, the latest release has drawn comparisons with their earlier work.
Speaking earlier about his role, Dhanush described his character Shankar as emotionally layered yet relatable. He explained that while the role appears simpler on the surface, it carries deep emotional challenges that unfold as the story progresses. He also reflected on how his character in Raanjhanaa demanded a far more complex portrayal.
