Aamir Khan Productions has announced a deeply personal documentary titled Sitaaron Ke Sitaare, shifting the spotlight from actors to the parents who raised and supported the neurodivergent performers seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by Shaanib Bakshi, the film is set for a theatrical release on December 19.
The documentary captures the emotional journeys of parents navigating social stigma, institutional indifference and everyday challenges while raising children with special needs. In the trailer, one mother recalls how &ldquo;society, teachers and even doctors made us feel small,&rdquo; while another describes the moment her child was finally recognised when the production house reached out.
