Rob Reiner, 78, celebrated for directing iconic films such as The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally and A Few Good Men, had been married to Michele Singer Reiner, 68, since 1989. The couple shared three children &mdash; Jake, Nick and Romy.
Investigators are examining the role of their second child, Nick Reiner, a screenwriter who has previously spoken publicly about his struggles with drug addiction and periods of homelessness. In earlier interviews, Nick had described living on the streets across multiple states during difficult phases of his life.
The bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner were discovered inside their Los Angeles home by their daughter, Romy.
