Actor Ranveer Singh has made his first public appearance since the massive success of his latest film Dhurandhar, which recently crossed the ₹500 crore mark at the Indian box office. The spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, continues to dominate theatres nationwide. Ranveer was spotted at Mumbai airport with wife Deepika Padukone, appearing relaxed and upbeat ahead of his next major project.
Ranveer is now preparing for Don 3, the third instalment of the iconic action franchise. Announced in August 2023, the film marks Ranveer&rsquo;s debut as the new Don, taking over the role previously played by Shah Rukh Khan. While the project faced delays due to director Farhan Akhtar&rsquo;s prior commitments and scheduling challenges, production is now back on track.
Sources indicate that Ranveer has already begun intense action training, with the makers keen to move ahead following his recent box office triumph. The first shooting schedule is expected to commence between late January and early February next year. Portions of the film are likely to be shot in Jeddah.
Kriti Sanon will star opposite Ranveer and is also set to perform action sequences, adding a fresh dynamic to the franchise. Reports further suggest that discussions are ongoing with Vikrant Massey regarding his role as the antagonist, with the script undergoing refinements accordingly.
Adding to the excitement, Don 3 may feature special cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, along with possible appearances by Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman. With Farhan Akhtar returning as director and a strong cast in place, Don 3 is poised to revive one of Bollywood&rsquo;s most celebrated action franchises.
