Pawan Kalyan&rsquo;s They Call Him OG continues its strong run at the box office, emerging as the biggest Telugu hit of 2025. After a record-breaking ₹84 crore opening, the gangster action drama has now grossed ₹265 crore worldwide within just five days of release.
On Monday, the film earned ₹7.50 crore net in India, a 60% dip from Sunday&rsquo;s ₹18.50 crore, which is considered normal for a big-ticket mass entertainer. This brings the film&rsquo;s domestic total to ₹147 crore net (₹168 crore gross). Globally, OG added ₹13 crore on Monday to its already impressive ₹252 crore opening weekend, taking the overall tally to ₹265 crore.
With this, OG has surpassed Sankranthiki Vasthunam (₹255 crore worldwide) to become the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year. No other Telugu film in 2025 has crossed the ₹200 crore mark, and industry trackers expect OG to breach ₹300 crore by its second weekend &mdash; the first Telugu film to achieve this milestone in 2025.
Directed by Sujeeth, OG follows gangster Ojas Gambheera (Pawan Kalyan) as he takes on rival don Omi, played by Emraan Hashmi in his Telugu debut. The film also features Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj. While critics have given mixed-to-positive reviews, praising Pawan Kalyan&rsquo;s powerful performance and the high-octane action, some have pointed to shortcomings in the storyline.
Still, the audience reception and box office numbers firmly position OG as one of the year&rsquo;s biggest blockbusters.
