Maddock Films, the studio behind India&rsquo;s popular horror-comedy universe, has entered a multi-year licensing collaboration with Prime Video, granting the streamer worldwide-exclusive post-theatrical rights to eight upcoming titles.
The pact, covering releases between 2025 and 2027, ensures films from Maddock&rsquo;s horror-comedy franchise, including Thama and two yet-to-be-announced titles, will premiere globally on Prime Video after their theatrical run.
The line-up also features high-profile projects like Param Sundari starring Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, slated for theatrical release on August 29, 2025, as well as sequels Shiddat 2 and Badlapur 2. Sriram Raghavan&rsquo;s Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda, is also part of the slate, with more titles to be unveiled soon.
Dinesh Vijan, CEO and founder of Maddock Films, said the deal extends their vision of creating stories that &ldquo;surprise, entertain, and resonate&rdquo; to a global stage. &ldquo;This strategic partnership ensures our films continue their journey beyond theatres to audiences worldwide,&rdquo; he noted.
Manish Menghani, director and head of content licensing at Prime Video India, said the collaboration strengthens their commitment to expand the reach of Indian cinema globally. &ldquo;This slate not only adds to Maddock&rsquo;s horror-comedy universe but also brings fresh storytelling that appeals across geographies,&rdquo; he said.
