Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan enjoyed a strong box-office debut on Thursday with his film OG shattering records, but some of his fans in Bengaluru had a less celebratory experience.&nbsp;
Police registered an FIR against members of the Bangalore Pawan Kalyan Fans Association for organising an unauthorised event ahead of the film&rsquo;s release.
According to police, the fan association had arranged a stage celebration outside Sandhya Theatre in Madiwala on Wednesday evening, coinciding with a paid preview screening of OG. 
The organisers had reportedly erected a stage and installed a DJ system without seeking permission. 
Acting on a tip-off, police dismantled the setup and seized the loudspeakers.&nbsp;
The FIR was later filed by Madivala Police after securing a city court&rsquo;s approval.
&ldquo;When we got to know, we immediately reached the spot and seized the loudspeakers and asked the organisers to dismantle the stage,&rdquo; a police officer told PTI. 
Tensions briefly flared earlier when members of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV), a local group, objected to the event.
Directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG is touted as Pawan Kalyan&rsquo;s most mass-oriented film yet. 
The movie also marks Emraan Hashmi&rsquo;s Telugu cinema debut and stars Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj. 
Despite mixed reviews, the film opened to massive numbers, collecting ₹90 crore on its first day.
Fans have also pointed out links between OG and Sujeeth&rsquo;s previous film Salaar, speculating about a shared cinematic universe.&nbsp;
While celebrations were held across India by Pawan Kalyan&rsquo;s supporters, most passed off without incident&mdash;unlike the one in Bengaluru.
