Ranveer Singh&rsquo;s Dhurandhar has continued its strong performance at the box office, posting impressive numbers on day 16 and edging closer to the ₹800 crore mark worldwide. The Aditya Dhar-directed spy thriller has strengthened its hold in India while maintaining solid collections internationally, positioning it as a contender for the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.
The film had earned ₹483 crore net domestically in its first 15 days. On Saturday, it saw a significant surge, registering a 50% jump in domestic collections compared to the third Friday, with ₹33.50 crore net added in India. This takes the total domestic net to ₹516.50 crore (₹619.75 crore gross), making Dhurandhar only the seventh Hindi film to cross ₹500 crore domestically and the fastest to do so, surpassing the pace of films like Jawan and Stree 2.
Internationally, Dhurandhar experienced an initial upswing in its second week, which was partly offset by the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash during the third weekend. Despite this, the film has earned approximately $18.5 million gross overseas, bringing the worldwide total to ₹785 crore after 16 days. Analysts expect the film to surpass Chhaava&rsquo;s ₹807 crore and aim for Kantara Chapter 1&rsquo;s ₹852 crore, potentially making it the biggest Indian film of 2025.
Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative infiltrating gang and terror networks in Karachi. The ensemble cast also includes Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan in key roles. Despite a modest opening, the film has benefited immensely from strong word-of-mouth. A sequel is slated for release in March 2026.
