The makers of Dhurandhar have officially confirmed that the second instalment of the Ranveer Singh-starrer will hit theatres on March 19, 2026.
The announcement was revealed through the post-credits scene at the end of the first part, which was released in cinemas on Friday.&nbsp;
The sequel is set to arrive just three months after Dhurandhar Part 1.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar was confirmed as a two-part project by the filmmaker days before its theatrical release. 
While it was widely speculated that the end credits would feature a teaser of the sequel along with its release date, the post-credits sequence delivered exactly that, setting up the next chapter and confirming its arrival in March 2026.
However, the release date has set up a major box office clash. 
Dhurandhar 2 will compete with Yash&rsquo;s upcoming pan-India actioner Toxic, which is also scheduled for release on the same date. 
Toxic marks the Kannada superstar&rsquo;s first film after the KGF franchise and is expected to command a significant number of screens across the country, including the Hindi market. 
How exhibitors will distribute screens between the two big action releases remains to be seen.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar features an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and R. Madhavan. 
The film has exceeded expectations at the box office, collecting ₹27 crore net in India on its opening day, making it the biggest opening of Ranveer Singh&rsquo;s career so far, surpassing Simmba and Padmaavat.
While the film has received mixed critical reviews, Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna have garnered praise for their performances. 
The background score has also drawn positive response.&nbsp;
The music for the film has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev.
Set in Pakistan in the early 2000s, Dhurandhar sees Ranveer Singh playing the role of an Indian spy. 
The sequel is expected to take the story forward and provide its conclusion. 
The film is jointly produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
