Mumbai: The Censor Board of India informed the Bombay High Court that actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut&rsquo;s movie &lsquo;Emergency&rsquo; can be released only after some modification. It has asked director, producers for the modifications of 11 scene from the movie.
Bombay High Court is hearing petition filed by movie&rsquo;s co-producer Zee Studio, which has pleaded to the court for its intervention and direction to the censor board for the approval of the movie release.&nbsp;
Censor Board&rsquo;s advocate Abhinav Chandrachud&rsquo;s submitted before the division bench of Justice BP Colabawalla and Justice Firdosh Pooniwala that the board suggested some cuts in the film. &nbsp;The court kept the matter for further hearing September 30.
Zee studio&rsquo;s advocate in his submission stated that the board has asked for 11 modifications including cuts and insertions.
The movie is based on historical development of Indian Politics in 1970&rsquo;s, when then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi had imposed &lsquo;Emergency&rsquo; for 21 months between 1975 and 1977.
Interestingly Sikh Community has opposed this release of movie demanding complete ban, as they felt that there are factual errors in film&nbsp; and it has not potrayed the community respectfully.
