In the wake of the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun addressed the media following sharp criticisms from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi. The incident resulted in the death of a woman and left several others injured, casting a shadow over the highly anticipated film's release.
Expressing profound regret over the tragedy, Allu Arjun extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and those injured. "All that happened with the family is truly heartbreaking," he said, visibly emotional. "I have been checking on the child&rsquo;s health every few hours."
The actor firmly rejected allegations suggesting he stayed at the premiere despite knowing about the fatal incident. Addressing claims by CM Revanth Reddy that he attended the event without police permission, Arjun clarified, "I had permission from the theatre management and complied with police instructions. I am a law-abiding citizen, and I would have left if instructed otherwise."
In response to what he described as character assassination and baseless accusations, Allu Arjun urged the public to focus on facts rather than rumors. "For 20 years, my character has been consistent. I have never indulged in fictional narratives to boost my image or my films' success. It deeply saddens me to see such claims now."
Amid growing political and media scrutiny, the actor appealed for sensitivity while addressing the issue, reiterating his commitment to supporting the affected families.
