The Rekha Gupta-led Delhi government has officially taken shape with the swearing-in of key ministers at a grand ceremony in Ramlila Maidan. The new cabinet comprises a mix of seasoned politicians and fresh faces, each entrusted with crucial portfolios to steer the capital&rsquo;s governance.

Rekha Gupta, Delhi Chief Minister
Rekha Gupta&rsquo;s political journey spans over three decades, starting with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in the 1990s and progressing through key roles in the Bharatiya Janata Party&rsquo;s youth and women&rsquo;s wings. She served as a municipal councillor in Delhi for multiple terms, holding leadership positions such as vice-chairperson of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Standing Committee and chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) education department. 
Despite setbacks in Assembly elections in 2015 and 2020, she persisted and finally won from Shalimar Bagh in 2025 by a significant margin. Her extensive experience in municipal governance, grassroots politics, and BJP&rsquo;s organizational structure has now propelled her to the role of Delhi&rsquo;s CM.

Parvesh Verma, Deputy Chief Minister
Parvesh Verma, a seasoned BJP leader, has had an extensive political career spanning nearly three decades. The son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, he began his electoral journey in 2013, contesting from Mehrauli in the Delhi Assembly elections. He later served as a two-time Member of Parliament from West Delhi, strengthening his political standing. 
Over the years, Verma has been a key strategist for the BJP in Delhi, advocating for infrastructural development, employment generation, and better living conditions for slum dwellers. His strong grassroots connection and aggressive campaign tactics played a crucial role in his 2025 Delhi Assembly election victory, where he defeated AAP&rsquo;s Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat. Now, as deputy CM, he brings his experience and BJP lineage to Delhi&rsquo;s governance.

Ashish Sood
Ashish Sood is a leader with a strong foothold in Delhi&rsquo;s political landscape. Over the years, he has held key positions, including councillor, Leader of the House in the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), and general secretary of both the Delhi BJP and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), later rising to its national vice president. His organizational skills and strategic influence have played a crucial role in strengthening the party at both the state and national levels. 
Sood&rsquo;s grassroots connect and decisive victory in the Janakpuri constituency in 2025 further cemented his stature. With firm backing from senior BJP leaders and the RSS, he remains a pivotal figure in shaping the party&rsquo;s governance and policies in Delhi.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa
Manjinder Singh Sirsa is a seasoned politician and social worker, known for his strong leadership within the Sikh community and active role in humanitarian efforts. A three-time MLA from Rajouri Garden, he initially won on a Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) ticket in 2013 before joining the BJP in 2021. 
His tenure includes serving as the longest-serving general secretary and later president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), where he played a crucial role in COVID-19 relief efforts, disaster aid, and the evacuation of Sikh and Hindu minorities from Afghanistan. 
Sirsa&rsquo;s induction into the Delhi cabinet is seen as the BJP&rsquo;s strategic move to bolster its outreach among Sikhs, particularly in light of past tensions over farm laws.

Kapil Mishra
Kapil Mishra began his political career with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and won the 2015 Delhi Assembly election from Karawal Nagar, subsequently serving as the Minister for Water Resources in Arvind Kejriwal&rsquo;s cabinet. However, his tenure with AAP was short-lived, as he was removed from the ministry in 2017 after accusing Kejriwal and other AAP leaders of corruption. 
His criticism of AAP intensified, leading to his disqualification as an MLA under the anti-defection law in 2019. Soon after, he joined the BJP and became a vocal opponent of the Kejriwal government. Known for his controversial statements, Mishra faced allegations of inciting violence during the 2020 Delhi riots. 
Despite his polarizing political career, he has remained a prominent figure in Delhi&rsquo;s politics and has now been appointed as the minister of Law and Justice, as well as the Labour in the Rekha Gupta-led government.

Ravinder Indraj Singh
A first-time MLA and a key Dalit leader in the Delhi BJP, Ravinder Indraj Singh, has been inducted into the Rekha Gupta-led Cabinet. Singh has been an active member of the BJP&rsquo;s Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha, playing a crucial role in mobilizing support for the party in North Delhi. His political roots run deep, with his father, Indraj Singh, having also served as an MLA from the Narela constituency. 
Singh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University and has built a reputation as a grassroots leader dedicated to the upliftment of marginalized communities.

Pankaj Kumar Singh
A BJP leader and MLA from Vikaspuri, Pankaj Kumar Singh, &nbsp;has been sworn in as a cabinet minister in the Delhi government. A dentist by profession, he earned his Bachelors degree in Dental Surgery from Magadh University. His father, Raja Mohan Singh, was a former MCD commissioner.
Singh has been actively involved in Delhi&rsquo;s municipal politics, previously serving as a ward councillor and holding various responsibilities in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
