According to the latest updates from the second phase of polling, a voter turnout of 47.62% has been recorded till 1 PM. The turnout is close to touching the 50% mark by afternoon, indicating strong enthusiasm among voters. This trend suggests that the overall voter participation is likely to rise significantly by evening. BJP's Ashwini Kumar Choubey said the the NDA would return with a thumping majority of 180 seats. "I feel that voting is happening in favour of the NDA. Everyone is voting in the name of development, in the name of making a developed Bihar, under the guidance of the NDA government, CM Nitish Kumar, and PM Modi. We are getting more than 180 seats, which has the likelihood of going up to 200." After the deadly Delhi blasts, the police said that the 700km-long border between Nepal and Bihar will be shut for 72 hours to conduct the elections peacefully.

Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Ram, after casting his ballot, said that the mood among voters clearly signals a desire for change. Hinting at an INDIA bloc victory, he remarked, &ldquo;The confidence of the INDIA alliance has grown, and the voters&rsquo; demeanour reflects the same. People seem ready to bid farewell to a government that has been in power for two decades. The public feels it&rsquo;s time for a new administration, and that administration will be formed by the INDIA alliance.&rdquo;
Meanwhile, Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, reached Konar in Sasaram to vote, accompanied by party colleague and Kargahar candidate Ritesh Pandey.

With the final phase of the Bihar elections underway, polling remained active through the morning, reaching 31.38% turnout by 11am&nbsp;compared to 27.65% of phase 1 voting. Kishanganj topped the list with 34.74%, while Gaya (34.07%) and Jamui (33.69%) followed closely behind.
As voters continued to line up, the political temperature rose, with leaders from both the Mahagathbandhan and the NDA expressing optimism about the outcome.
RJD MP Manoj Jha claimed that the shift witnessed during the first phase had &ldquo;grown into a sweeping tide,&rdquo; one he believes will unseat the NDA from power in Bihar.

As polling for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections begins, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor urged voters to come out in large numbers and ensure a record turnout. He appealed to citizens to vote for change, better education, and employment opportunities for the youth, emphasising that their decision today would shape Bihar&rsquo;s next five years.
Kishor encouraged people to surpass the voter turnout of the previous phase and build a new system that focuses on education, jobs, and an end to corruption. He warned that missing the opportunity today could mean continuing under the same flawed governance for another term.
Meanwhile, Bihar Minister and BJP candidate from the Harsidhi seat, Krishnanandan Paswan, expressed confidence in the NDA&rsquo;s victory after casting his vote. He mentioned offering prayers before voting and acknowledged that minor technical issues can occur with voting machines, but said polling was smooth. Paswan asserted that the NDA would secure a comfortable win with a margin of around 50,000 votes.

Patna: Voting for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 AM across 122 of the 243 constituencies, marking a decisive day in the state&rsquo;s political battle.
