Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has posted a stellar performance in the April-June quarter of FY26, with net profit jumping 71% year on year to ₹539 crore. The growth comes on the back of record EBITDA, cost efficiencies, and a strong showing in both transmission and smart metering segments.
The company&rsquo;s EBITDA surged 14% to ₹2,017 crore, marking its highest ever quarterly figure, while total income rose to ₹7,026 crore, up 28% from the same quarter last year.
Cash profit for the quarter stood at ₹1,043 crore, up 15% YoY, supported by lower depreciation and a reduced tax burden.
Smart Metering Drives Growth 
One of the key growth engines for AESL has been its smart metering vertical, which saw aggressive rollout during the quarter. The company installed 24 lakh new smart meters, raising its cumulative count to 55.4 lakh. With a daily installation rate of over 25,000 meters, the company is on track to meet its ambitious target of 1 crore meters by FY26 end.
Transmission Projects Expand Footprint AESL commissioned three major transmission lines &mdash; Khavda Phase II Part-A, Khavda Pooling Station-1, and the Sangod line. Additionally, it secured a new project, the WRNES Talegaon line, pushing its under-construction order book to ₹59,304 crore.
Capital expenditure during Q1 FY26 saw a significant jump, reaching ₹2,224 crore, nearly 1.7 times higher than the same period last year.
CEO Kandarp Patel&rsquo;s Outlook &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve delivered a robust quarter, underpinned by consistent project execution and strong asset performance,&rdquo; said AESL CEO Kandarp Patel. &ldquo;As the monsoon recedes, we anticipate faster rollouts, new bids, and stronger momentum in capex and smart infrastructure deployment.&rdquo;
AESL sees major opportunities in India's evolving power and energy ecosystem, especially in transmission infrastructure and digital metering, supported by regulatory tailwinds and increasing power demand.
