Today on 26th June, the Supreme Court allowed Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal to withdraw his petition challenging the Delhi High Court's interim stay on his bail in the money laundering case related to an alleged liquor policy scam. The Court also asked CBI to place on record the material that they have for his arrest.
Senior advocate AM Singhvi, representing Kejriwal, informed a vacation Bench of Justices Manoj Misra and SV Bhatti about the decision to withdraw the current petition and indicated plans to file a fresh petition challenging the High Court's final order.
Yesterday, the Delhi High Court had stayed the trial court's order granting bail to Kejriwal, agreeing with the Enforcement Directorate's contention that the trial court had not adequately considered the probe agency's arguments. Earlier, on June 20th, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi had ordered the Chief Minister's release, emphasizing the lack of direct evidence linking him to the alleged proceeds of the crime.
On Monday, the Supreme Court's vacation bench declined immediate relief and postponed the hearing on Kejriwal's plea to June 26th, awaiting the High Court's final decision. Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21st in connection with the money laundering case linked to the alleged liquor policy scam. He was previously released on May 10th by the Supreme Court to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections but returned to jail on June 2nd following the Apex Court's denial of further relief.
Today, During Arvind Kejriwal's court appearance, Public Prosecutor DP Singh, representing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), asserted, "I am not obligated to seek the accused's permission or file applications with them to proceed with my investigation. My sole requirement is to obtain the Court's permission."

આજે 26મી જૂને સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે દિલ્હીના મુખ્યમંત્રી અને આમ આદમી પાર્ટી (AAP)ના રાષ્ટ્રીય કન્વીનર અરવિંદ કેજરીવાલને કથિત દારૂ નીતિ કૌભાંડ સંબંધિત મની લોન્ડરિંગ કેસમાં દિલ્હી હાઈકોર્ટના તેમના જામીન પરના વચગાળાના સ્ટેને પડકારતી તેમની અરજી પાછી ખેંચવાની મંજૂરી આપી હતી. કોર્ટે સીબીઆઈને તેની ધરપકડ માટે તેમની પાસે જે સામગ્રી છે તે રેકોર્ડ પર મૂકવા પણ કહ્યું હતું.
કેજરીવાલનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરતા વરિષ્ઠ વકીલ એએમ સિંઘવીએ જસ્ટિસ મનોજ મિશ્રા અને એસવી ભાટીની વેકેશન બેન્ચને વર્તમાન પિટિશન પાછી ખેંચી લેવાના નિર્ણય વિશે માહિતી આપી હતી અને હાઈકોર્ટના અંતિમ આદેશને પડકારતી નવી અરજી દાખલ કરવાની યોજનાનો સંકેત આપ્યો હતો.
ગઈકાલે, દિલ્હી હાઈકોર્ટે એન્ફોર્સમેન્ટ ડિરેક્ટોરેટની દલીલ સાથે સંમત થતા કેજરીવાલને જામીન આપવાના ટ્રાયલ કોર્ટના આદેશ પર રોક લગાવી દીધી હતી કે ટ્રાયલ કોર્ટે તપાસ એજન્સીની દલીલોને યોગ્ય રીતે ધ્યાનમાં લીધી ન હતી. અગાઉ, 20મી જૂને, દિલ્હીની રાઉઝ એવન્યુ કોર્ટે મુખ્ય પ્રધાનને મુક્ત કરવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો હતો, જેમાં તેમને અપરાધની કથિત આવક સાથે જોડાયેલા સીધા પુરાવાના અભાવ પર ભાર મૂક્યો હતો.
સોમવારે, સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટની વેકેશન બેન્ચે તાત્કાલિક રાહતનો ઇનકાર કર્યો હતો અને હાઇકોર્ટના અંતિમ નિર્ણયની રાહ જોતા કેજરીવાલની અરજી પર સુનાવણી 26મી જૂન સુધી મુલતવી રાખી હતી. કથિત દારૂ નીતિ કૌભાંડ સાથે જોડાયેલા મની લોન્ડરિંગ કેસના સંબંધમાં એન્ફોર્સમેન્ટ ડિરેક્ટોરેટ દ્વારા 21મી માર્ચે કેજરીવાલની ધરપકડ કરવામાં આવી હતી. તેમને અગાઉ 10મી મેના રોજ સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટ દ્વારા લોકસભાની ચૂંટણીના પ્રચાર માટે મુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા પરંતુ સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે વધુ રાહત આપવાનો ઇનકાર કર્યા બાદ 2જી જૂને તેઓ જેલમાં પાછા ફર્યા હતા.
આજે, અરવિંદ કેજરીવાલની કોર્ટમાં હાજરી દરમિયાન, સેન્ટ્રલ બ્યુરો ઑફ ઇન્વેસ્ટિગેશન (CBI) નું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરતા સરકારી વકીલ ડી.પી. સિંહે ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું હતું કે, "હું મારી તપાસ આગળ વધારવા માટે આરોપીની પરવાનગી મેળવવા અથવા તેમની પાસે અરજી દાખલ કરવા માટે બંધાયેલો નથી. મારી એકમાત્ર જરૂરિયાત છે. કોર્ટની પરવાનગી મેળવવા માટે."

आज 26 जून को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री और आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल को कथित शराब नीति घोटाले से जुड़े मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में उनकी जमानत पर दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट द्वारा लगाई गई अंतरिम रोक को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका वापस लेने की अनुमति दे दी। कोर्ट ने सीबीआई से भी कहा कि वह उनकी गिरफ्तारी के लिए उनके पास मौजूद सभी दस्तावेज पेश करे।
केजरीवाल का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता ए.एम. सिंघवी ने न्यायमूर्ति मनोज मिश्रा और न्यायमूर्ति एस.वी. भट्टी की अवकाश पीठ को वर्तमान याचिका वापस लेने के निर्णय के बारे में सूचित किया तथा उच्च न्यायालय के अंतिम आदेश को चुनौती देने वाली नई याचिका दायर करने की योजना का संकेत दिया।
कल दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने प्रवर्तन निदेशालय की इस दलील से सहमति जताते हुए केजरीवाल को जमानत देने के निचली अदालत के आदेश पर रोक लगा दी थी कि निचली अदालत ने जांच एजेंसी की दलीलों पर पर्याप्त रूप से विचार नहीं किया है। इससे पहले 20 जून को दिल्ली की राउज एवेन्यू अदालत ने मुख्यमंत्री की रिहाई का आदेश दिया था, जिसमें अपराध की कथित आय से उनके संबंध में प्रत्यक्ष सबूतों की कमी पर जोर दिया गया था।
सोमवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट की अवकाश पीठ ने तत्काल राहत देने से इनकार कर दिया और केजरीवाल की याचिका पर सुनवाई 26 जून तक के लिए टाल दी, ताकि हाईकोर्ट के अंतिम फैसले का इंतजार किया जा सके। केजरीवाल को कथित शराब नीति घोटाले से जुड़े मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने 21 मार्च को गिरफ्तार किया था। उन्हें पहले 10 मई को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए प्रचार करने के लिए रिहा किया था, लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा आगे की राहत देने से इनकार करने के बाद 2 जून को उन्हें फिर से जेल भेज दिया गया।
आज, अरविंद केजरीवाल की अदालत में उपस्थिति के दौरान, केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे सरकारी वकील डीपी सिंह ने कहा, "मैं अपनी जांच को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए अभियुक्तों की अनुमति लेने या उनके समक्ष आवेदन दायर करने के लिए बाध्य नहीं हूं। मेरी एकमात्र आवश्यकता अदालत की अनुमति प्राप्त करना है।"

दिल्ली आबकारी मामले में अरविंद केजरीवाल को सीबीआई ने औपचारिक रूप से गिरफ्तार कर लिया है।
