Market indicators suggested key support levels for gold at both international and domestic prices, with resistance zones limiting upward movement. Similar ranges were observed for silver, reflecting a cautious market outlook.
The dollar index inched higher by 0.14 per cent, adding pressure on precious metals and reducing demand. With gold priced in dollars globally, any rise in the US currency typically results in softer bullion prices.
Investors are now watching for crucial US economic releases due this week, including the delayed nonfarm payrolls report for September. The data is expected to provide a clearer view of the US economy and influence expectations for the Federal Reserve&rsquo;s December policy decision.
The recent US government shutdown had postponed several data releases, but updates to the schedule are now underway.
