Iran's top military commander has promised an unprecedented response to Israel's recent Damascus strike, warning that retaliation will come at a time and manner of Tehran's choosing.
Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, delivered the stark message during an address to senior military commanders, emphasizing that Israel had crossed Iran's red lines. He assured that Iran's response would surpass anything Israeli leadership might anticipate, Iran&rsquo;s media reported .
According to the media reports, The general's comments come amid escalating regional tensions, with Bagheri highlighting Israel's military challenges on both the Gaza and Lebanese fronts. He criticized what he described as the international community's inaction over civilian displacement and alleged violations of international law.
"The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will give a different response to the aggressors that will make them regret [their act]," Bagheri stated, stressing that the timing would be strategic and the execution precise.
Echoing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei's position, Bagheri indicated that Iranian military and political leadership would exercise careful deliberation in determining their response's nature and timing.
