A car explosion outside a district court in Pakistan&rsquo;s capital on Tuesday afternoon left at least eight people injured. The cause of the blast remains unclear, though initial reports suggest a possible gas cylinder explosion inside the vehicle.
Police officials have not yet commented on the cause as investigations continue. The area around the court is typically crowded with visitors attending daily hearings, raising concerns about security in the capital.
The explosion follows a similar car blast reported near Delhi&rsquo;s Red Fort a day earlier, which claimed 13 lives and led to a probe under the UAPA and Explosives Act.
Meanwhile, Pakistan&rsquo;s security forces recently foiled an attempted militant attack on an army-run college in Wana, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, near the Afghan border. A suicide car bomber and five armed militants reportedly targeted the facility in an overnight assault. Two attackers were killed by troops, while three others who breached the compound were cornered and neutralized.
Authorities have heightened vigilance across sensitive locations in the country following the back-to-back incidents.
