At least 15 people lost their lives after a passenger bus met with a fatal accident on Indonesia&rsquo;s main island of Java shortly after midnight on Monday. The bus, carrying 34 passengers, reportedly lost control while travelling on a toll road.
According to local authorities, the vehicle rammed into a concrete barrier before overturning on the roadway. Emergency response teams rushed to the spot and began rescue operations to assist survivors and recover the victims.
Officials said several passengers were injured in the crash and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, including possible speeding or road conditions at the time of the incident.
Road accidents remain a serious concern in Indonesia, particularly involving long-distance buses operating overnight on major highways.
