The National Investigation Agency has arrested four more prime accused in the November 10 Red Fort blast, taking the total arrests to six. The latest detainees, Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, Dr Shaheen Saeed, and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay&nbsp;were taken into custody in Srinagar on court orders. Investigators say all four played &ldquo;key roles&rdquo; in the car explosion that killed several people and injured many others, underscoring a sophisticated module spread across states.
<h3 data-start="1025" data-end="1098">Earlier Arrests Reveal Technical Support, Radicalisation Attempts</h3>
The arrests follow the earlier detention of Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the vehicle was registered, and Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, accused of providing technical aid to the attackers. According to the NIA, Wani was an &ldquo;active co-conspirator&rdquo; of suspect Umar Mohammed, a Pulwama-based doctor, and had been modifying drones and experimenting with improvised rockets as part of a wider terror plan. Wani allegedly confessed that Umar attempted for months to radicalise him into becoming a suicide bomber, a plan he ultimately abandoned.
<h3 data-start="1654" data-end="1719">Investigators Say A Larger VBIED Plot Was Being Assembled</h3>
Probing agencies believe the Red Fort blast may have been triggered prematurely after a larger attack failed to materialise. Officials say Umar and Dr Muzammil Ganai had allegedly stockpiled explosives, ncluding ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate and sulphur, for a&nbsp;vehicle-borne IED attack planned around December 6. Much of the material was stored near the Al Falah University campus in Faridabad. The plan reportedly collapsed after Srinagar Police arrested Ganai and seized critical chemicals weeks earlier.
<h3 data-start="2241" data-end="2318">Interstate Network Traced Through Posters, CCTV, Radicalisation Links</h3>
The network began to unravel after Jaish-e-Mohammed posters surfaced on Srinagar&rsquo;s outskirts in October, leading police to arrest three locals whose questioning pointed to Maulvi Irfan Ahmad, a Shopian-based preacher. He is alleged to have supplied propaganda material and played a key role in radicalising young professionals, including doctors. With six arrests and multiple leads, the NIA says it is working &ldquo;to dismantle every layer of the terror module behind the Red Fort attack.&rdquo;
