A 13-year-old student from Wankaner died after his heart suddenly stopped while he was playing football at Tapovan International School, located on the Mehsana&ndash;Ahmedabad Highway.
The student, Jaimil Gautambhai Kansagra, had been studying at the school for the past three years and was staying in its hostel. During a football game, he suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness.
School staff, including the principal, rushed him to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. However, doctors on duty declared him dead on arrival.
Following the incident, officers from Langhnaj Police Station reached the school and shifted the body to Mehsana Civil Hospital for a panel post-mortem examination.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden cardiac arrest.
