The first look of Kiara Advani as Nadia from the upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults was revealed on Sunday, creating a strong buzz online. The poster was unveiled by the film&rsquo;s male lead, Yash, on social media and was later shared by Kiara Advani and the film's makers.
Toxic marks Kiara Advani&rsquo;s first film appearance since she embraced motherhood earlier this year. It is also Yash&rsquo;s first release since the conclusion of the blockbuster KGF franchise in 2022, which catapulted him to pan-India superstardom.
The character poster shows Kiara dressed in a black off-shoulder gown with a thigh-high slit, standing under a spotlight on what appears to be a dance floor. She is seen looking away from the camera with a contemplative expression, while tears stream down her face. Her dark, intense look has drawn comparisons from fans to gothic cinematic characters, with many praising the strong and mysterious aura of her role.
The poster received an overwhelming response from fans of both actors. Supporters of Yash expressed heightened expectations from the film, predicting major box office success given his track record after the KGF films, which collectively earned over ₹1,500 crore worldwide and established him as a nationwide star.
Toxic is directed by Geethu Mohandas and features an ensemble cast that includes Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair. The film has been shot simultaneously in both Kannada and English and will be released in six languages.
The pan-India project is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi festival.
