Aditya Dhar&rsquo;s spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, continues its historic run at the box office, emerging as the first Indian film of 2025 to cross the ₹900-crore mark worldwide. On its 19th day in theatres, the film showed remarkable consistency, especially during its third week, and is now firmly on track to enter the coveted ₹1,000-crore club.
After witnessing its first noticeable dip on the third Monday, Dhurandhar quickly regained momentum. On Tuesday (Day 19), the film collected ₹17.25 crore net in India, taking its total domestic earnings to ₹589.50 crore net, or ₹707.25 crore gross. The steady hold highlights the film&rsquo;s strong audience pull even beyond the initial weeks.
The standout achievement of Dhurandhar lies in its unprecedented third-week performance. The film has already recorded the highest third-week collection ever for an Indian film. While Pushpa 2: The Rule had earlier held the record with ₹129 crore and Baahubali 2 followed closely with ₹127 crore, Dhurandhar surpassed the ₹129-crore mark within just five days of its third week. Notably, this feat has been achieved despite the film releasing only in Hindi and not as a pan-India project. With two days still remaining in the week and the Christmas holiday approaching, industry estimates suggest that the third-week total in India could reach as high as ₹170 crore.
Overseas, the film continues to perform strongly, particularly in North America and the Middle East. Dhurandhar has earned approximately $22 million from international markets, pushing its worldwide gross to ₹905 crore after 19 days. The film is expected to soon surpass titles like Secret Superstar, Animal, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, placing it among the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative who infiltrates terror and crime networks in Karachi. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan in pivotal roles. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the high-octane spy thriller has already confirmed a sequel, with Dhurandhar Part 2 slated for release in March 2026.
