Marketyard chairman Alpesh Dholriya has seized the Chinese garlic and sought the guidance of the state government to conduct an investigation as to who and from where the garlic was sent. Realizing that 750 kg of Chinese garlic had arrived, the trader informed the employees and the employees rushed to the spot. Central level has submitted to take proper decision regarding smuggled garlic. In order not to harm the local farmers, Chinese garlic penetration should be stopped. Any activity that harms the farmers will not be carried out at any cost. Chinese garlic comes from the Via Upaleta. We will investigate the entire matter and inform the state and central government. State General Minister of Gujarat Kisan Sangh RK Patel has also expressed his concern about the entry of Chinese garlic in Gondal market yard and has submitted to the government to conduct a thorough investigation as to where the Chinese garlic seeds came from. He added that Chinese garlic is also harmful to health. It is worth mentioning that, currently, the income of new garlic is 2 thousand katta in Gondal market yard. Farmers are getting a price of Rs 3600 to 5500 per 20 kg. While the price of Chinese garlic is lower than Rs 3600, Chinese are trying to import garlic in the temptation to earn more profit. Chinese garlic is smuggled from the border of Bihar and North Eastern states and sold in different states.

गोंडल मार्केटयार्ड में बिक्री के लिए तस्करी किए गए चीनी लहसुन ने अधिकारियों को परेशान कर दिया है। प्रतिबंधित चीनी लहसुन की 30 गांठें बिक्री के लिए आईं। उपलेटा से 30 कट्टे चाइनीज लहसुन देखने के बाद व्यापारी ने मार्केट यार्ड अधिकारियों को इसकी सूचना दी. इसलिए चेयरमैन ने राज्य और केंद्र सरकार को सूचित कर चाइनीज लहसुन की जांच कराई है. पूरा मामला तब सामने आया जब गांधीनगर में किसान संघ ने चीनी लहसुन का मुद्दा उठाया. उपलेटा का एक व्यापारी सौराष्ट्र के गोंडल मार्केट यार्ड में प्रतिबंधित चीनी लहसुन के 30 टुकड़े बेचने आया था। मार्केटयार्ड के अध्यक्ष अल्पेश धोलरिया ने चीनी लहसुन जब्त कर लिया है और राज्य सरकार से जांच कराने के लिए मार्गदर्शन मांगा है कि लहसुन किसने और कहां से भेजा। 750 किलो चाइनीज लहसुन आने का एहसास होते ही व्यापारी ने कर्मचारियों को सूचना दी और कर्मचारी मौके पर पहुंचे। लहसुन व्यापारी रमणीक वघासिया ने बताया कि मंडी प्रांगण में लहसुन की नई आवक शुरू हो गई है। शुक्रवार को उपलेटा से 30 कट्टे में 750 किलो चाइनीज लहसुन बिक्री के लिए आया। मार्केट यार्ड के अधिकारियों से संपर्क किया गया है और जिम्मेदार लोगों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने का अनुरोध किया गया है। 2014 से चीनी लहसुन पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया है क्योंकि भारत में चीनी लहसुन के आने से किसानों को नुकसान हो रहा है। गोंडल मार्केट यार्ड के सहायक सचिव हितेश सावलिया ने कहा कि व्यापारियों ने हमें सूचित किया कि चीनी लहसुन शुक्रवार को मार्केट यार्ड में पहुंचा। हमने चीनी लहसुन की मात्रा जब्त कर ली है और जांच कर रहे हैं कि यह कहां से और कैसे आया। अध्यक्ष अल्पेश ढोलरिया ने कहा कि देश में चीनी लहसुन पर प्रतिबंध है. तस्करी के लहसुन के संबंध में केन्द्रीय स्तर पर उचित निर्णय लेने हेतु प्रस्तुत किया गया है। स्थानीय किसानों को नुकसान न हो इसके लिए चीनी लहसुन की पैठ को रोका जाना चाहिए। किसानों को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाली कोई भी गतिविधि किसी भी कीमत पर नहीं की जाएगी। चीनी लहसुन वाया उपलेटा से आता है। हम पूरे मामले की जांच कर राज्य और केंद्र सरकार को जानकारी देंगे. गुजरात किसान संघ के राज्य महासचिव आरके पटेल ने भी गोंडल मार्केट यार्ड में चीनी लहसुन की घुसपैठ पर चिंता व्यक्त की है और सरकार से इस बात की गहन जांच कराने की मांग की है कि चीनी लहसुन के बीज कहां से आए। उन्होंने कहा कि चाइनीज लहसुन भी स्वास्थ्य के लिए हानिकारक है। उल्लेखनीय है कि वर्तमान में गोंडल मार्केट यार्ड में नये लहसुन की आय 2 हजार कट्टा है. किसानों को 3600 से 5500 रुपये प्रति 20 किलो का दाम मिल रहा है. जबकि चीनी लहसुन की कीमत 3600 रुपये से कम है, चीनी अधिक मुनाफा कमाने के लालच में लहसुन का आयात करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। बिहार और पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों की सीमा से चीनी लहसुन की तस्करी कर विभिन्न राज्यों में बेचा जाता है.
