બઢતી અપાયેલા હેડ કોન્સ્ટેબલોની યાદીમાં ગુજરાત પોલીસ વિભાગમાં અગાઉ ફરજ બજાવનાર ગોપાલ ઈટાલિયાનો સમાવેશ કરાયો છે. AAPના નેતા ગોપાલ ઈટાલિયાએ પોલીસ વિભાગમાંથી રાજીનામુ આપી દીધુ હોવા છતાં હેડ કોન્સ્ટેબલ તરીકે પ્રમોશન આપવામાં આવ્યુ છે.

गुजरात में चालू मानसून सीजन में सड़कों और पुलों के मामले में अधिकारियों की लापरवाही का खामियाजा नागरिकों को भुगतना पड़ रहा है. उसमें राज्य गृह विभाग की बड़ी चूक सामने आयी है. 9 साल पहले इस्तीफा देने वाले कांस्टेबल को हेड कांस्टेबल के रूप में पदोन्नत किया गया है। आप नेता गोपाल इटालिया ने 2015 में कांस्टेबल पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था, लेकिन अहमदाबाद शहर पुलिस ने उन्हें निहत्थे पुलिस कांस्टेबल कैडर से निहत्थे हेड कांस्टेबल के रूप में पदोन्नत किया है। इससे राज्य के गृह विभाग को नुकसान उठाना पड़ा है. राज्य के गृह विभाग के तहत अहमदाबाद पुलिस आयुक्तालय ने 2 सितंबर 2014 को एक परिपत्र जारी कर शहर में सेवारत निहत्थे पुलिस कांस्टेबलों को निहत्थे हेड कांस्टेबल के रूप में पदोन्नत करने का आदेश दिया। अहमदाबाद के संयुक्त पुलिस आयुक्त (प्रशासन) एनएन चौधरी के हस्ताक्षर से जारी एक सर्कुलर से बड़ा हड़कंप मच गया है. गोपाल इटालिया, जो पहले गुजरात पुलिस विभाग में कार्यरत थे, को पदोन्नत हेड कांस्टेबलों की सूची में शामिल किया गया है। आप नेता गोपाल इटालिया ने पुलिस विभाग से इस्तीफा दे दिया है लेकिन उन्हें हेड कांस्टेबल के रूप में पदोन्नत किया गया है। साल 2015 में इस्तीफा देने के बावजूद 9 साल तक प्रमोशन ऑर्डर मिलने पर गोपाल इटालिया ने गृह राज्य मंत्री का आभार जताते हुए ट्वीट किया है. जिससे पूरे मामले का खुलासा हो गया है. पदोन्नत हेड कांस्टेबलों की सूची में यह उल्लेख नहीं किया गया है कि गोपाल इटालिया को अहमदाबाद के किस पुलिस स्टेशन में तैनात किया जाएगा और उन्हें कहां तैनात किया जाएगा। गोपाल ने इस मामले पर इटली की प्रतिक्रिया जानने की कोशिश की. लेकिन, उनका फोन बंद होने के कारण प्रतिक्रिया नहीं मिल सकी. गोपाल इटालिया ने गृह राज्य मंत्री पर कसा तंज: आप नेता गोपाल इटालिया ने एक्स पर ट्वीट कर गृह राज्य मंत्री हर्ष सांघवी पर तंज कसा है. जिसमें उन्होंने लिखा है कि, साल 2015 में मैंने पुलिस से इस्तीफा दे दिया था, इसके बावजूद मैं साल 2024 में कॉन्स्टेबल से हेड कॉन्स्टेबल के पद पर प्रमोशन लिस्ट में मेरा नाम 726वें नंबर पर शामिल करने के लिए गृह मंत्री हर्ष सांघवी को धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूं. और मुझे प्रमोशन देकर हेड कांस्टेबल बना दिया।
