A BSF assistant commandant and head constable died of dehydration after they got stuck in the mud on Friday near the Harami canal on the India-Pakistan border adjacent to Kutch district of Gujarat.
During the patrolling, the drinking water ran out in the intense heat. There was a delay in delivering water and ORS from the out post to the soldiers stuck in the mud. Both the jawans died when they were taken to a nearby hospital in an unconscious state.

गुजरात के कच्छ जिले से सटी भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा पर हरामी नहर के पास शुक्रवार को कीचड़ में फंसने के बाद बीएसएफ के एक सहायक कमांडेंट और हेड कांस्टेबल की निर्जलीकरण से मौत हो गई। गश्त के दौरान भीषण गर्मी में पीने का पानी खत्म हो गया। कीचड़ में फंसे जवानों तक चौकी से पानी और ओआरएस पहुंचाने में देरी हुई.
बेहोशी की हालत में जब दोनों जवानों को नजदीकी अस्पताल ले जाया गया तो उनकी मौत हो गई। सीमा सुरक्षा बल, गुजरात के जनसंपर्क अधिकारी ने इस खबर की पुष्टि की है. बीएसएफ के आधिकारिक सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, बीएसएफ के सहायक कमांडेंट एच. घटना उस वक्त हुई जब विश्वदेव और हेड कांस्टेबल दयालराम टीम के साथ हरमिनाला के उत्तर में अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा पर दुर्गम इलाके में गश्त पर निकले थे.
