<div>The accident occurred on the Hisar-Chandigarh National Highway when a truck loaded with logs rear-ended a passenger van (Tata Magic). After the crash, the van veered off the road and fell into a ditch. The van, carrying devotees, was going from Haryana's Kurukshetra to Gogamedi in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan.</div>

<div>The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident.</div>

<div>The victims, belonging to Mercheri village of Kurukshetra, left home on Monday evening. The accident occurred near Bidharana village of Narwana.</div>

<div>According to the police, the injured were initially taken to the Civil Hospital in Narwana, but later referred to a hospital in Agroha. At the Narwana hospital, doctors declared seven dead.</div>

<div>Passersby attempted to rescue the trapped pilgrims, but darkness disrupted to pull put the injured stuck in the mangled remains of the van because of the impact of the collision.</div>

<div>The rescuers from the police had a difficult time extricating them.</div>

<div>Police have registered a case and ordered an investigation to ascertain the cause of the crash.</div>

<p>ચંડીગઢ: હરિયાણાના જીંદ જિલ્લામાં મંગળવારે વહેલી સવારે એક માર્ગ અકસ્માતમાં ત્રણ મહિલાઓ સહિત ઓછામાં ઓછા સાત યાત્રાળુઓના મોત થયા હતા અને આઠ ઘાયલ થયા હતા, પોલીસે જણાવ્યું હતું.</p>
<p>તમામ મુસાફરો વાહનની અંદર ફસાઈ ગયા હતા અને સ્થળ ચીસોથી ભરાઈ ગયું હતું.</p>
<p>હિસાર-ચંદીગઢ રાષ્ટ્રીય ધોરીમાર્ગ પર આ અકસ્માત ત્યારે થયો જ્યારે લોગથી ભરેલી ટ્રકે પેસેન્જર વાન (ટાટા મેજિક)ને પાછળથી ટક્કર મારી. અકસ્માત બાદ વાન રોડ પરથી હટીને ખાડામાં પડી હતી. શ્રદ્ધાળુઓને લઈને આ વાન હરિયાણાના કુરુક્ષેત્રથી રાજસ્થાનના હનુમાનગઢ જિલ્લાના ગોગામેડી જઈ રહી હતી.</p>
<p>અકસ્માત બાદ ટ્રક ચાલક સ્થળ પરથી ફરાર થઈ ગયો હતો.</p>
<p>કુરુક્ષેત્રના મરચેરી ગામના પીડિતો સોમવારે સાંજે ઘરેથી નીકળ્યા હતા. આ અકસ્માત નરવાના બિધરાના ગામ પાસે થયો હતો.</p>
<p>પોલીસના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, ઘાયલોને શરૂઆતમાં નરવાના સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા હતા, પરંતુ બાદમાં અગ્રોહાની હોસ્પિટલમાં રિફર કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. નરવાના હોસ્પિટલમાં ડોક્ટરોએ સાતને મૃત જાહેર કર્યા હતા.</p>
<p>વટેમાર્ગુઓએ ફસાયેલા યાત્રિકોને બચાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો હતો, પરંતુ અથડામણની અસરને કારણે વાનના ગૂંગળાયેલા અવશેષોમાં ફસાયેલા ઇજાગ્રસ્તોને ખેંચવામાં અંધકાર છવાઈ ગયો હતો.</p>
<p>પોલીસના બચાવકર્તાઓને તેમને બહાર કાઢવામાં મુશ્કેલી પડી હતી.</p>
<p>પોલીસે કેસ નોંધીને અકસ્માતનું કારણ જાણવા તપાસના આદેશ આપ્યા છે.</p>
<p>અહેવાલો અનુસાર પોલીસને શંકા છે કે ટ્રક ડ્રાઇવર બેદરકારીથી ડ્રાઇવિંગ કરી રહ્યો હતો, જેના પરિણામે અકસ્માત થયો.</p>
<p>તમામ ઈજાગ્રસ્તોને નરવાના સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા હતા જ્યાં ડોક્ટરોએ સાત ઈજાગ્રસ્તોને પ્રાથમિક સારવાર બાદ અગ્રોહાની મેડિકલ કોલેજમાં રીફર કર્યા હતા.</p>
<p>ઓવરલોડિંગ અને અવિચારી ડ્રાઇવિંગને કારણે ઘણીવાર જીવલેણ માર્ગ અકસ્માતો સર્જાય છે.<br>ભારતમાં સાર્વત્રિક રીતે સૌથી વધુ સંખ્યામાં માર્ગ મૃત્યુ થાય છે, દર વર્ષે 250,000 મૃત્યુ થાય છે.</p>

<p>चंडीगढ़: हरियाणा के जींद जिले में मंगलवार तड़के एक सड़क दुर्घटना में तीन महिलाओं सहित कम से कम सात तीर्थयात्रियों की मौत हो गई और आठ घायल हो गए।<br><br>सभी यात्री गाड़ी के अंदर फंस गए और चीख-पुकार मच गई।<br><br>यह दुर्घटना हिसार-चंडीगढ़ राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर उस समय हुई जब लकड़ी से लदे एक ट्रक ने यात्री वैन (टाटा मैजिक) को पीछे से टक्कर मार दी। हादसे के बाद वैन सड़क से उतरकर खाई में जा गिरी। श्रद्धालुओं से भरी वैन हरियाणा के कुरूक्षेत्र से राजस्थान के हनुमानगढ़ जिले के गोगामेड़ी जा रही थी.<br><br>हादसे के बाद ट्रक चालक मौके से भाग गया।<br><br>कुरुक्षेत्र के मरचेरी गांव के पीड़ित सोमवार शाम को घर से चले गए। हादसा नरवा के बिधारा गांव के पास हुआ.<br><br>पुलिस के मुताबिक, घायलों को पहले नरवाना सिविल अस्पताल ले जाया गया, लेकिन बाद में अग्रोहा अस्पताल रेफर कर दिया गया। नरवाना अस्पताल में डॉक्टरों ने सात को मृत घोषित कर दिया।<br><br>राहगीरों ने फंसे हुए यात्रियों को बचाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन टक्कर के कारण वैन के मलबे में फंसे घायलों को बाहर निकालना मुश्किल हो गया।<br><br>पुलिस बचावकर्मियों को उन्हें बाहर निकालने में काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी।<br><br>पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर दुर्घटना के कारण का पता लगाने के लिए जांच के आदेश दे दिये हैं.<br><br>रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, पुलिस को संदेह है कि ट्रक ड्राइवर लापरवाही से गाड़ी चला रहा था, जिसके कारण यह हादसा हुआ।<br><br>सभी घायलों को नरवाना सिविल अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद सात घायलों को अग्रोहणी मेडिकल कॉलेज रेफर कर दिया।<br><br>ओवरलोडिंग और लापरवाही से गाड़ी चलाने के कारण अक्सर घातक सड़क दुर्घटनाएँ होती हैं।<br>भारत में प्रति वर्ष 250,000 मौतों के साथ दुनिया भर में सड़क पर होने वाली मौतों की संख्या सबसे अधिक है।<br><br>--आईएएनएस</p>
