Chennai: Vijay Thalapathy has become the highest-paid Indian actor by earning an astounding Rs275 crore for his upcoming film &lsquo;Thalapathy 69&rsquo;, as per reports. He surpassed Shah Rukh Khan to clock the remarkable milestone, who was paid Rs250 crore for a recent project.&nbsp;
Known for consistently delivering blockbuster hits, Vijay&rsquo;s popularity has grown beyond regional boundaries, making him a pan-India star. &lsquo;Thalapathy 69&rsquo; also holds immense significance for his fans, as it is touted to be his farewell project, before he fully transitions into a politician. His party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has officially become an Indian regional political party in the state of Tamil Nadu.
KVN Productions took to social media and finally announced the film, which will be directed by H Vinoth as he reunites with music sensation Anirudh Ravichander.
The makers took to their photo-sharing platform Instagram and shared a riveting poster of the film. In the poster with the bluish background, Thalapathy was seen holding a torch of fire in his hands as a torch bearer. The poster mentioned, &ldquo;The Torch bearer of democracy.. Arriving soon.&rdquo;
The makers also captioned the post that read, &ldquo;We are beyond proud and excited to announce that our first Tamil film is Thalapathy 69, directed by the visionary H Vinoth, with music by the sensational Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. Super happy to collaborate with the one and only Thalapathy Vijay. The torch bearer of Democracy is arriving on Oct 2025&rdquo;.
