Indore MBA student murder
A 24-year-old MBA student was found dead inside her classmate’s rented house in Indore after neighbours alerted police about a strong foul smell coming from the locked premises.
The discovery was made on February 13 in the Dwarkapuri police station area. When officers broke open the door, they found the woman’s body inside the house. She was pursuing her Master of Business Administration degree at a local college. The property belonged to her classmate, who had allegedly fled the city after the incident.
Police later tracked the accused to Mumbai and took him into custody. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to strangling the woman following a dispute and later attempting to conceal his involvement.
Investigators said the two were in a close relationship. The accused reportedly suspected the woman of interacting with other men and allegedly killed her in a fit of rage before escaping.
During his time on the run, the accused is said to have travelled to Navi Mumbai and performed occult rituals near Panvel, claiming he was mentally disturbed and wanted to communicate with the deceased.
The victim’s father has accused the classmate of blackmailing his daughter using private photographs. He alleged that the accused tried to extort money by threatening to circulate the images and even shared them in a college WhatsApp group.
Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
