Bhopal: Two army officers and their female friends were attacked and held hostage near Jam gate, around 50 km from Indore in Madhya Pradesh, the police said.&nbsp;
One of the women wasa also claimed to have been gang-raped by the accused, they added. Forces from four police stations combed the jungles near Chhoti Jaam village and picked up two suspects.
The incident happened when the army officers along with their female friends went out for a ride in a car, the police said. Over six individuals, said to be allegedly involved in the incident, also demanded a ransom of Rs10 lakh.&nbsp;
According to the police, the accused approached the car the officers and their friends were travelling in. After a while, for some reason, a heated argument broke out between them and the army officers. As the officers were outnumbered by the accused, they soon overpowered the army officers, and held them hostage.&nbsp;
The army personnel told the police that the assailants also confiscated their belongings and gang-raped one of the women who was accompanying them.&nbsp;
The officers somehow managed to alert the police and shared their location. The police then immediately swung into action, but, by the time police arrived from Mhow, 30 km away, the woman had already been gang-raped.
The two Army men are undergoing the Young Officers course at Infantry School, Mhow, said Indore (Rural) Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal.
Additional Superintendent of Police Rupesh Dwivedi said on Wednesday night that six suspects had been identified, two of whom have been detained from the jungles.
He further said that all the four individuals were brought to Mhow Civil Hospital for medical examination. Doctors have found signs of injuries on the officers&rsquo; bodies.
Meanwhile, Indore (Rural) SP Hitika Vasal said, &ldquo;A case under (BNS) sections pertaining to loot, dacoity, rape and Arms Act has been registered.&rdquo;&nbsp;
According to the complaint filed by one of the officers, the four of them had driven to Ahilya Gate near Jam Gate on Mhow-Mandleshwar road on Tuesday night.&nbsp;
Built in 1791 by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, Jam Gate is a popular picnic spot for its stunning views of the valley below, and the temple near Ahilya Gate draws a lot of devotees.
The incident has shocked the residents of the area as the crime allegedly took place with defence personnel &mdash; said to be trainee army officers &mdash; while the dignity of a woman was also violated by the accused.
Badgonda police registered a case under BNS sections 70 (gang-rape), 310-2 (dacoity), 308-2 (extortion) and 115-2 (voluntarily causing hurt), plus sections of Arms Act.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, the police said, adding they are hopeful of apprehending the remaining accused individuals soon.&nbsp;

એક મહિલા વાસાએ પણ દાવો કર્યો હતો કે આરોપીઓ દ્વારા સામૂહિક બળાત્કાર કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. ચાર પોલીસ સ્ટેશનના દળોએ છોટી જામ ગામ પાસેના જંગલોમાં કોમ્બિંગ કર્યું અને બે શકમંદોને ઝડપી લીધા.
પોલીસે જણાવ્યું કે આ ઘટના ત્યારે બની જ્યારે સેનાના અધિકારીઓ તેમની મહિલા મિત્રો સાથે કારમાં સવારી માટે નીકળ્યા હતા. આ ઘટનામાં કથિત રીતે સંડોવાયેલા છ વ્યક્તિઓએ પણ રૂ.10 લાખની ખંડણીની માંગણી કરી હતી.
પોલીસના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, આરોપીઓ કારની નજીક પહોંચ્યા જે અધિકારીઓ અને તેમના મિત્રો મુસાફરી કરી રહ્યા હતા. થોડા સમય પછી, કોઈ કારણસર, તેમની અને સૈન્ય અધિકારીઓ વચ્ચે ઉગ્ર દલીલ થઈ. અધિકારીઓની સંખ્યા આરોપીઓથી વધુ હોવાથી, તેઓએ ટૂંક સમયમાં જ સૈન્ય અધિકારીઓ પર કાબૂ મેળવ્યો અને તેમને બંધક બનાવ્યા.
સૈન્યના જવાનોએ પોલીસને જણાવ્યું કે હુમલાખોરોએ તેમનો સામાન પણ જપ્ત કરી લીધો અને તેમની સાથે રહેલી એક મહિલા પર સામૂહિક બળાત્કાર કર્યો.
અધિકારીઓ કોઈક રીતે પોલીસને એલર્ટ કરવામાં સફળ થયા અને તેમનું લોકેશન શેર કર્યું. ત્યારબાદ પોલીસ તરત જ એક્શનમાં આવી ગઈ હતી, પરંતુ, 30 કિમી દૂર મહુથી પોલીસ આવી ત્યાં સુધીમાં, મહિલા પર સામૂહિક બળાત્કાર થઈ ચૂક્યો હતો.
ઇન્દોર (ગ્રામીણ) પોલીસ અધિક્ષક હિતિકા વસલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, બે આર્મી મેન ઇન્ફન્ટ્રી સ્કૂલ, મહુમાં યંગ ઓફિસર્સ કોર્સમાંથી પસાર થઈ રહ્યા છે.
અધિક પોલીસ અધિક્ષક રૂપેશ દ્વિવેદીએ બુધવારે રાત્રે જણાવ્યું હતું કે છ શંકાસ્પદ લોકોની ઓળખ કરવામાં આવી છે, જેમાંથી બેને જંગલમાંથી અટકાયતમાં લેવામાં આવ્યા છે.
તેમણે વધુમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે ચારેય લોકોને મેડિકલ તપાસ માટે મહુ સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં લાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. ડોક્ટરોને અધિકારીઓના શરીર પર ઈજાના નિશાન મળ્યા છે.
દરમિયાન, ઇન્દોર (ગ્રામીણ) એસપી હિતિકા વસલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, "લૂંટ, લૂંટ, બળાત્કાર અને આર્મ્સ એક્ટ સંબંધિત (BNS) કલમો હેઠળ કેસ નોંધવામાં આવ્યો છે."
એક અધિકારીએ નોંધાવેલી ફરિયાદ મુજબ, તે ચારેય જણા મંગળવારે રાત્રે મહુ-મંડલેશ્વર રોડ પર જામ ગેટ પાસે અહિલ્યા ગેટ તરફ ગયા હતા.
